New Revlon ColorStay Longwear Polish Quick Review and Swatch

I finally spotted Revlon's new ColorStay polishes at CVS. There are 26 shades plus a top coat in the collection. It's advertised as long wear enamel, "11 days of shatterproof color", with a gel-like shine finish.

A closer look at the shades available.

I picked up "Delicious", a bright candy apple shade. It does have a nice jelly-like appearance, and reminds me of OPI's sorbet finish polishes. I'm not sure if this finish is consistent across all shades. The texture is smooth and easy to work with. It started chipping 2 days after application, not exactly long-wear. I do like the gel-like shine, and I still plan on trying other shades despite it being not long-wear.
Did anyone else try this already? How are you liking it? What shades would you recommend?

Maybelline Dream Bouncy Blush Sighting
Beautymoogle spotted Maybelline's new Dream Bouncy blush and sent me on a another trip to CVS. The packaging is simple yet cute. The shades all look wearable.

There are a total of 10 blushes released as part of this collection, one was missing from the display.

Here's a closer look at the shades on the back row.
CVS is currently running buy one get 50% off the second on Maybelline products in case you want to try a few :)
I'm not really sure what a bouncy texture is supposed to be like but it sounds interesting. What are you guys thinking?

Zara, Banana Republic, and Loft Finds
I was on a mission to find some holiday outfits...

I tried on Zara's lace tulip dress (left) in XS and fell in love with it instantly. The lace details, hourglass shape, and above the knee length were all perfect. I'm impressed by the quality! This dress is currently sold out online. If you're interested, try calling brick and mortar Zara to check on its availability. Here's the link in case it comes back in stock online.
For a more casual holiday event, I tried on Loft's petite Yolk Lace Tee in XS and sequin black skirt with elastic waistband. The lace top runs very large, XS was still too big for me. The sequin black skirt runs large as well, but they had a XXS on hand that fitted well. I ended up getting the skirt, not the top.
I paired the tulip dress with two multistrand pearl necklace from Forever 21 and pouchette from Louis Vuitton for a holiday party.
I love flowy blouses, I find them rather feminine. I tried on the same blouse in two shades and sizes at Banana Republic, silver gray version in XSP and the purple version in XS. You can see that the size difference is pretty noticeable. I liked both colors, but ended up with the gray for the fit. This blouse isn't available online for some reason.
A sparkly sweater is nice for the holiday season. I tried on BR's Embroidered pearl-trim sweater in SP. The sweater comes in gray or cream/beige (see below, right side). It fits well, but the material is thin. Sweater retails for $79.95 in store vs. $99 online, it's currently marked down to $64.99 in store. I couldn't decide on the color for this sweater, which one do you guys like better?

I tried on a similar Scattered Gem sweater at LOFT in SP. The sparkly trim is very attractive, but the sweater is super itchy. The sweater is noted as 3/4 sleeve on the website but is actually full length. I thought about it for a while and placed it back. What would you have done in this scenario? Would you buy a not so comfortable but pretty sweater?

I was considering a cream/white ruffle blouse to pair with my red cardigan. Loft's ruffled tied neck shell (left, sold out online) in XSP is really cute and fits well, while Zara's TRF tied neck blouse (right) did not work out. They both worked much better with a blazer than a cardigan. Now I'm on a separate mission to find a red blazer....

These cute nude flats are part of Zara's current collection. The blush toned pair (left, from TRF section) comes with a nice cushion sole ($29.90, also available in black). The sparkle suede pair (right, from regular section) is pretty, but not as comfortable ($35.90, also available in black). I like both, but may return the suede pair due to comfort issues.
Banana Republic Izzy pumps from the Mad Men collection is currently marked down to $84 in store, they're sold out online. I grabbed a pair (size 6) last week when they did 40% off original price. They're comfortable, and look great. They shouldn't be too hard to find, I've seen them at several Banana Republics with a good range of sizes still available.
Loft has 40% off everything in-stores and online (with code TAKE40)
Banana Republic is offering up to 50% on select styles (no codes necessary)
Zara has a small sale going on but is limited in variety and sizing
I highly recommend checking out the stores in person, I'm seeing more availability and better markdowns.
Use eBates for Loft and Banana Republic if you order online for additional cash back.

Rimmel HD Glam'Eyes Union Jack Palettes, Scandaleyes Sighting

Beauty Moogle tipped me off on the Rimmel Glam'Eyes HD Shadows sighting at CVS. These were released across the pond earlier in the Fall, and are now part of Rimmel's Spring 2012 lineup here.

There are 8 palettes in total, all with the Union Jack pattern. The palettes are priced at $4.99 (CVS). I couldn't resist, especially given the BOGO50Off at CVS, and picked up 002 (English Oak) and 004 (Green Park).

Next to the palettes were the Scandaleyes mascara. The bright packaging was super tempting!
Who's running out to grab these?

CoverGirl Blast Flipstick Lipcolor Sighting

I came across CoverGirl's new blast flipstick lipcolors today. Flipsticks are double ended lipcolor sticks in cream and shimmer formulas. You can mix and match the formulas and colors, or use it alone. The display is pretty awesome, no? That being said, I can't believe Spring collections are already popping up at drugstores. Thoughts?

L'Oreal Infallible Eye Shadows Update, Swatches, Quick Review
Today, I came across two new shades in the L'Oreal Infallible eye shadow range. This brings the total number of shades spotted to 11. You can see the entire list on my previous post here.

The new discoveries are:
999 Eternal Black - A matte black with silver sparkles
888 Iced Latte - A metallic light champagne shade

Here are swatches of the other US shades that I picked up (left to right):
890 Bronzed Taupe - Beautiful shimmery taupe (This is my favorite shade so far)
892 Amber Rush - Shimmery medium copper
997 Eternal Sunshine - Shimmery light gold
L'Oreal infallible eye shadows are loosely pressed powder shadows. They're pigmented and beautiful! The texture is soft, almost fluffy, and easy to blend. Most of the shades have a intense metallic-like shimmer to them. I'm totally impressed by this drugstore find.
Check out Jenn's blog for a comparison between the US and international versions. Take a look at Justine's blog for swatches and limited edition releases.

L'Oreal Le Balm Quick Review + Swatches

L'Oreal's new Colour Riche Le Balm lipstick displays are popping up at drugstores. These are tinted lip balms containing all the good stuff like shea butter, argan oil, and SPF 15.

Caring Coral on top and Nourishing Nude on bottom, isn't the tinted cover pretty?
At first look, you may think the Le Balms are similar to Revlon's new Lip Butters, but they're not. Le Balms are smoother and more moisturizing, but they're also on the sheer end of the spectrum. The swatches above are Caring Coral (left) and Nourishing Nude (right). I haven't tried the darker shades from this range yet, so I can't speak for them.

L'Oreal Infallible Eye Shadows Finally Stateside!
*Update* December 5th - I found two new shades at a different store today, I added them to the color list at the bottom of this post. Check out my quick review and swatches here.

The Infallible eye shadows have arrived. I spotted the display at Bed Bath and Beyond today,9 shades 11 shades in total. These were released earlier in the year in what seems like everywhere else but here. I was told by Justine of Sakura Lovely that these are very much like Armani's Eyes to Kill, exciting stuff!

Here are the shades on the display:
