Byzance De Chanel - Regard Signe De Chanel Topkapi Quad Review, Swatches

The Byzance De Chanel collection is starting to pop up at Chanel boutiques in New York City. I was immediately drawn to the Regard Signe De Chanel quad in Topkapi. It's a neutrals palette with a bit of flare, a shimmery gold highlight comes in the palette instead of the typical beige pearls. The shadows have a quilted pattern and the Chanel logo etched into them.

I'm rather impressed with the buttery smooth texture and the color pay off. The shades included are (starting from top left) a bronze, a taupe, a gold, and dark brown. All of the shadows have a certain level of sheen/shimmer to them. It's a very wearable palette and good for year round.

Will you be getting this palette?

Sleek Makeup Avoir La Peche Review, Swatches

Sleek Makeup's "avoir la peche" peach themed collection is like my dream come true. I love peach shades, especially for the cheeks and lips...

The Pan Tao blush comes in simple black case with a pretty floral design on it. The size and packaging is similar to that of a NARS blusher. The case is better than NARS in my opinion since it doesn't attract dirt like the NARS cases do.

The blush is pigmented but you can easily blend it out to lighten the shade. It's better to apply the blush with a light hand and build it up to your liking. It's a beautiful coral peach that's especially suitable for the Spring and Summer months. This is a really great blush given the price, about $6.50 not including shipping from the UK.

Sugar May is a pout polish which translates to a tinted lip balm. It's a sheer wash of peach with a nice shine to it. It contains SP15, natural oils and vitamins to keep your lips smooth. This isn't anything special but the packaging is pretty.

A eyeshadow palette, Paraguaya, was also released with the Peach collection. I reviewed it earlier here. This is a limited edition collection and products may no longer be in stock on the Sleek Makeup website. You may want to try your luck on eBay if that's the case.

Canmake Cream Cheek Blush Review, Swatches

One of my favorite cheek product on the market right now is the Canmake cream cheek. I can't believe it has taken me so long to do  a post on it. There are currently 10 shades available, you can see them on the Canmake site.  I got #1, #3, and #5 a while back thanks to Kay of Cosmeddicted. I later acquired #7 from iMomoko.

The packaging is simple yet cute. They're small and easily fit into your makeup bag. The texture is soft and very blend-able. You can wear it as a light blush or build it up to a nice flush. You can use it as a blush base for your powder blusher or bronzer. There's a good selection of shades for you to choose from and they're all wearable. The only downside is that they're not very long lasting so I recommend setting the cream blush with some powder products (translucent powder, powder blusher or bronzer).

Swatches from left to right: #1 Peach Dream, #3 Strawberry Whip, #5 Sweet Apricot, #7 Coral Orange

My favorite out of the ones that I have is #5 Sweet Apricot. It's nice to get away from all the pinks.

Lunasol Ocean Scene Warm Ocean Review, Swatches, FOTD

I've been so busy lately that I almost forgot to post about this palette. The Warm Ocean (01) palette was released as part of Lunasol's Spring 2011 Ocean Scene collection. It is part of the permanent collection. I purchased mine off of AdamBeauty. It's also sold at iMomoko as well as Ichibankao to list a few.

The Warm Ocean palette comes in the classic Lunasol packaging. The shadows are all shimmery, some more so than others. There are too many highlight-like shades in this palette, I find the pale pink, blue, and eggshell shade all too similar when used on the eye. The purple shade is a gem and really saves the palette. The texture is silky and smooth, better than the older Lunasol palettes. This palette is pretty to look at just not a must have.

Wet 'n Wild Go For The Gold Summer 2011 Limited Edition Swatches, Review, FOTD

Wet 'n Wild is Summer ready with their limited edition "Go For The Gold" collection. I was really excited to see the warm toned, neutral friendly "The Gilded Age" eyeshadow trio so I'll start off the review with this trio.

The Gilded Age is gorgeous. Texture is smooth and buttery just like the rest of the ColorIcon trios. I love all three shades but the gold shade at the bottom is the star of this palette! It's shimmery, somewhat glittery, yet not at all gritty. Love.

Then there's the 5 toned "Everything Under the Sun" Bronzer, a pigmented bronzer with a nice sheen. The texture is soft and silky. This bronzer is not for fair skin beauties. It shows up very dark on me even when applied with the lightest hand. However, I think it'll look great on warm toned beauties. I'm about NC15 at MAC for reference purposes.

Here's my face of the day using the trio and bronzer...

Hello From Spain

I thought I'd pop in and say hello. I arrived in Madrid today, the last city on my Spain trip. I've only been in Spain for a few days and is already convinced that I need a Summer home in either Barcelona or San Sebastian. The cities are beautiful and the food has been amazing. Now if only I can win the lottery...

The above picture was taken at the marina in Barceloneta. I'll have more pictures to share when I return.

Chanel Rouge Coco Review

I was looking for a tangerine like shade for the season when I came across Chanel Coco Rouge #46 Liberte. It's not really tangerine, it's more of a peachy orange. The shade is nice but not unique. The texture is smooth and moist but not long lasting. The sheer wash of color and texture makes the Rouge Coco similar to a tinted lipbalm.

This is not a must have, especially given the price point ($32).
