The Makeup Show, the largest Pro-Only beauty event in New York City, is giving away one ticket to a Make Me Blushhh reader! The upcoming 2-day event will feature some of the hottest brands in the industry including but not limited to Make Up For Ever, Inglot, Temptu, NARS Cosmetics, Kevyn Aucoin, and Yves Saint Laurent. You can see the full list of exhibiters here. There's also a amazing lineup of presenters including Dany Sanz, Kevin James, Bennett, Crystal Wright, Sam Fine just to name a few. I would loveeee to atttend on Sunday mostly because I live nearby NYC and have never been to one of these shows. It seems so exciting and an awesome way to catch sight of the newest trends and innovative products.

She has helped me through so much and this would be a great way to show her how thankful I am for all of her support! I know she would LOVE LOVE LOVE to attend this event on Sunday (May 15, 2011), and would be willing to make the trip from Washington, D.C. to NYC for it. :)

ReplyDeleteomgsh!! i was actually looking into this when i heard about the one in LA and wanted to go to this one, until i found out its not opened to the public. i would love to go on sunday! im a NYer and im a total noob within the makeup world and think this would be a great opportunity to learn and try new things. thanks for the give away ;D
ReplyDeleteI just have to attend the Makeup Show as it would give me an enormous financial helping-hand now that I'm, literally, restarting the rest of my life; not to mention being able to have a much-needed, long overdue, awesomely fun day. What a joy it would be to see Eve Pearl, Koren Zander or Oprah's Reggie doing demos in person.
ReplyDeleteI had been a caregiver for the better part of the last 18 years, &, as such, have rarely needed to apply makeup. I did the best I could for my mom all those years & have given up a large part of my life & identity, &, now, it's my time to feel like a woman again. I'm currently job-hunting & need a whole lot of new makeup to present my best face; it's been a very long time since I've needed to purchase makeup. Naturally, with both the job market & the economy in dire straights & money being very tight, attending the NYC Makeup Show would be a fabulous opportunity for me to pick up many items from my very long wishlist (which I've been compiling over the past couple of years) at great prices. I've researched the products I want on the web, & I have been able to sample the ones carried at Sephora. Most of the items on my wishlist are from vendors attending the show; the majority of which I want to purchase is from Make Up For Ever. Other items I want are from Mehron, OCC, Eve Pearl, Myrabelle, Alcone, Cinema Secrets, Kryolan & Graftobian. Attending the Show would, also, be a great opportunity to check out vendors whose products I've never seen first-hand, but am very interested in like Inglot, Face Atelier, Dinair & Mario Badescu Skin Care.
I'd prefer to go on Sunday 5/15, however, since I don't currently have any job prospects, Mon. 5/16 would also be fine.

I would love to win the ticket for my sister, who is graduating that same weekend with a Masters from Rutgers! She's one of the biggest makeup enthusiast I know and this would make her graduation even more perfect!

ReplyDeleteI must attend the makeup show because I sleep, eat, and breathe makeup. I have excelled so much in makeup, that I believe I deserve the chance and oppoturnity to explore the LIFE of makeup by attending the makeupshow. I am in the military, and I have worked so hard to make the families of the deployed soliders feel beautiful. I organize beauty makeup overs once a month as a gift and token of the family members appreciation. I pray and cross my fingers that I am chosen to attend this makeup event!

ReplyDeleteThis is such an awesome giveaway! I went to this show about two years ago and it was amazing, such a great experience. If I had ANY excuse to go to New York I would! They have so many amazing vendors that sell unique items on these days and classes to teach you tips. If I win this I would love to go on Sunday 5/15.

ReplyDeleteAs a medical student, I have such few opportunities to exercise the creative side of my brain. Makeup is my outlet for artistry and also gives me a way to connect with other women. I will have no life starting in July when I start rotations (can't wear fun makeup there...boo), and this might be the only year I can ever make it! ReplyDeleteHey, I live in Ny but i never wen to events like this! i wanted to go to the girls night out @ Ny it was $15 at first.. now i checked it raised to $30 per ticket.. i wanted to go there with my sister as a gift who is coming bak to NY from college soon. But i am sad that the price raised..im broke for a hs student. so i hope i can win this ticket and buy another one for my sister so we can have lots of fun in the event.. ill also be looking forward to say hi to u!!
