Revlon's ColorBurst lipgloss range is relatively new. I only started seeing them in stores about a month ago.
The glosses in this range are on the sheer side, but, they can be somewhat build-able depending on the shade. I don't think they were meant to be super pigmented either. What really makes them stand out is the beautiful micro-shimmer packed into each tube. You can see it in the tube and it transfers to your lips. The formula is non sticky and have decent staying power. The packaging is nice too, slimmer and longer than their Super Lustrous glosses with embossed cross-stitch top just like the ColorBurst lipsticks.
Here's a swatch of Peony. The micro glitter is really pretty, it's a refined type of shimmer that I personally love.
So, how does it compare to NARS' cult classic Orgasm?
Here they are swatched side by side. They look very much alike from the swatch. What's the difference?
- Peony is a teeny bit more pink, Orgasm is a weeny bit more peach
- Peony is more of a glittery shine gloss, Orgasm is more a shimmery sheen
- Peony is more sheer, Orgasm is more pigmented
Here's a quick FOTD with the gloss:
