Shiseido Perfect Oil Cleansing Oil Review

I've always been a fan of cleansing oils. I use it as a makeup remover and usually followup with a regular cleanser. I started out with the Shu Uemura cleansing oil years ago but it quickly got too expensive at $28 for 150ml. Then for a while I didn't come across anything that I liked, that is until the Shiseido Perfect Oil came along. I randomly picked it up three months ago and is already on my second bottle.

I paid $13.99+tax for 150ml. It comes in a simple yet pretty plastic blue container with a additional clip piece that  prevents accidental pump leakage. The formula is light, gentle, and non irritating. It's easy on the eye (no painful rinse out process if you ever get it in your eyes) and it's not scented. The down side is that it's a bit too light and doesn't emulsify so well. All in all I like The Perfect Oil, it's not as good as the Shu Uemura Cleasning Oil but at half the price it's a good value for the price.

Usage:
I use two pumps worth each time, massage it onto my face in a circular motion
add water to get the emulsification process going, and finally wipe off with a cotton pad and rinse clean. I followup with a regular cleanser to get rid of any (if any) remaining residue.

Where To Buy:
It's a Shiseido drugstore product so you may find it at your local Asian markets. It's currently sold on Amazon via Evecare: Shiseido Fitit Perfect Oil 150ml

XOXO, M

P.S: I have a small blog sale coming up!

  3. For this one, I think using maybe 3-4 pumps would be the more appropriate amount because of the texture of the product (smooth, light weight) and for full makeup (like foundation/eyeshadow, etc) it'd be best to use more, do it quickly and get it done~ and definitely I would remove eyemakeup like mascara separately as you don't want that to get to the rest of your complexion! :)

Shu Uemura you can get away with 2-3 pumps, but I wanted to share a funny story - we went to a Shu counter in Taipei, Taiwan and my friend says she uses 2 pumps, and the lady says she is using it 'incorrectly' lol~

  4. I'm not familiar with Shiseido products, but do they make a drugstore line exclusively for Japanese markets?

  11. Thx for reviewing this product! I'm interested but unfortunately I don't think it's very accessible where I live either :/ I also really like the Shu cleanser but as you say, it's rather expensive >.<

Glad that it works for you though.

  18. I'm totally in love with grey nail polishes too this season!

Just got the Lippmann nail polish in 'Waking up in Vegas' which I find quite similar to your Wet Cement. But the Lippmann is not that shiny.

It looks really pretty on you, Mona!
