I thought Essie Tart Deco looked totally cute in the bottle. I mean what could possibly go wrong with a creamy coral shade? When it applies neon orange-ish! I've seen several swatches of this online and it seems to vary drastically from person to person. The formula is streaky and requires a lot of patience, something that I lack.
The shade appears to change depending on the lighting too. Essie's been on and off for me, sometimes I come across something wonderful and other times not so much.

ReplyDeletei had the same shock with tart deco too! i didn't imagine it being such a bright orange. plus i think i have to buff my nails for a smooth application, so much work! i'm thinking of it looking better on my toes than nails :P
ReplyDeleteI feel the same way about Essie polishes. The formula just doesn't apply as nice as China Glaze or OPI!
ReplyDeleteI've been wearing MAC seasonal peach which I found at CCO last weekend. It's like Essie Tart Deco's lighter, pinker cousin and it looks better on our skintone imo. ;)
How do you apply streaky nail polishes? I just got my hands on China Glaze Go-go Pink and its sooo streaky that I need to put about 3 coats before its solid - but takes FOREVER to dry :(
