Urban Decay Alice In Wonderland Book Of Shadows Update 2

It seems like there's been some sort of miscommunication between Urban Decay and Sephora regarding the limited edition Alice in Wonderland Book of Shadows. The original leaked news mentioned a Dec 28th release at Sephora, that day has come and gone and we've yet to see the palette. Good news is that Urban Decay updated their site today for you to sign up for upcoming palette release information. Its good to know the Alice in Wonderland Book of Shadows wasn't just a rumor.

Party Nails: Sephora By OPI Too Good For Him, Swatch and Review

Sephora By OPI in Too Good For Him is a clear polish with purple, blue, and red glitter. You can wear it alone or have it on top of another shade. It's seriously a party in a bottle! I have it on by itself in the swatch above, it took 4-5 coats to get that effect. If you do wear it alone remember to let each layer dry a little before applying another, otherwise you'll just be moving glitter around and creating an uneven coat. I lovey loves, what about you?

MAC Volcanic Ash Thermal Mask Quick Review

MAC Volcanic Ash Thermal Mask ($20 for 100ml) is a limited edition mask that came out with the MAC Style Black collection. I recently found it sitting on my bathroom shelf still untouched and immediately put it to good use. I used it for about twice a week for a month.

Booyah Mask Face! The mask comes out of the tube oily, grainy, and muddy. I mixed it with some water then applied to my face, it heats up upon touching my skin but the sensation wears off quickly. I leave it on for about 10 minutes then remove it in a circular motion to get the grainy stuff work its exfoliation thang. The mask gets extremely messy during the removal process so its best to rinse off in the shower. My skin didn't feel too different afterwards but the warming sensation experience was nice. Its a fun mask to have but not a necessity.

Japanese Cosmetics On Gmarket

Japanese cosmetics on Gmarket? You betcha! I wanted to try out the new Canmake Nudy Glow lip gloss and Maybelline Water Shiny Volumy lipsticks (asia exclusive) and ended up getting them from Gmarket. They're not priced cheaper, about $11 for canmake and $7 for Maybelline but I had some residual balance to spend. It's always good to know that there are alternative places to buy these goods :)

Face Atelier Iced Amethyst Eyeshadow EOTD

Face Atelier eyeshadow ($17) in Iced Amethyst entered my life just as I was looking for a purple grey shade for the cooler months. This is a versatile shade, you can use it for everyday looks or for smokey eyes. You can pair it with other shades but its just as pretty by itself. The refill pan size is the same as MAC.

Here's a swatch, the texture and pigmentation are both great! Its smooth, easy to blend, and buildable.

I did a quick EOTD with Light Amethyst on top of smudged black eyeliner. I lined the bottom of my eye with MAC Aquadisiac

Nail Lacquer Storage

I was recently asked about how I store my nail polish. Its nothing fancy, just a see through container ($1.49 shoe container) from The Container Store. There's a smaller accessories container for the same price so why not go for the larger version?

The container comes with a lid, the size (especially the height) is perfect, and you can see exactly what's inside. I keep all my manicure supplies in there too.

Where do you store your lacquers?

GEO Honey Wings Circle Lens LOTD

This is the brown GEO Honey Wings circle lens that I received from Asian Fashion City. I've never tried this style before and thought they looked cool on the ad.

My bare eye

With GEO Honey Wings on

I did a quick look with the lenses on, they're pretty natural looking no? These lens give you dolly eyes that aren't too dramatic, they're a good alternative to the Geo Nudy series that I love.

Like most circle lenses they dry very quickly, I wouldn't recommend wearing these past 8 hours.

How was your Monday? I'm so glad that its another short week :)

Sephora By OPI Polish in 212

Sephora by OPI in 212 is a limited edition lacquer that was created in celebration of the new Sephora flagship store at Times Square Manhattan. It appears black in the bottle but looks almost like a dark olive green indoors. There's plenty of glitter(holo, fine, flakies) but the polish is murky and doesn't allow the glitter to show. Its difficult to get a even coat and can be streaky. I really wanted to like this color as its suppose to represent New York City but I can't say that I do.

Vitacreme B12 Review

I really took my time testing out the Vitacreme B12 cream. It wasn't a overnight sensation but it has turned into something that I love over the last three months.

About: Vitacreme B12 is a face cream that's recommended for night use but can be used during the day or as a makeup base. It contains vitamin b12 which is associated with cell metabolism. The cream helps regenerate, renew, nourish, and moisturize the skin.

Price: $35.99 for 1.75oz/50ml (price on imomoko)

Thoughts: I have been using this as my night cream and it was uneventful for the first three weeks. The cream really kicked for me around the one month mark, I started seeing fine line reduction, improvement in elasticity, and my face just felt so smooth/soft all the time. It works best when you spend some time to massage the product into the skin, something that I didn't do in the beginning. The texture is smooth, not too thick or too thin and absorbs quickly. I'm moving onto my second tube soon and see this as a ongoing long term relationship :) I highly recommend this cream! Each tube lasts about 3-4 months, its a great value for what it does at that price.

Rating: 4.5 out of 5

Where to Purchase: Imomoko.com (you can still use code XMAS09 at checkout to receive 15% off your entire order, expires Dec 31, 2009)

You're not seeing things, the cream is pink

The Swiss made it well!

Silk Whitia Hydrating Collagen Mask Review

I spent Christmas day being lazy and pampered myself with a Silk Whitia sheet mask. This is the Highly Concentrated Collagen Hydration Mask from the Silk Whitia Collagen series. You can purchase it from SaSa for $15.20 a box, each box contains 5 masks.

Instruction and ingredients, its advertised that the materials are from France. The packaging states that its for all skin types but not recommended for sensitive skin.

There's a surprising amount of excess essence in the packet when you remove the mask, I use the leftover on my neck area. The fluid is milky in appearance and feels like a light serum. The actual mask sheet is thick in texture and packs a good amount of essence.

Scary sheet mask face! I left the mask on for 20 minutes allowing my skin to absorb the liquid and it left my face feeling refreshed, hydrated, and well moisturized. I love how quickly it removes dullness and brings out a natural glow. You'll have to make your own judgement on the sensitivity issue, I have sensitive skin and it worked out well for me. This mask is a nice and not to costly pick me up for the skin and I highly recommend it!

Paint My Lips In MAC Russian Red

MAC lipstick in Russian Red (Retails for $14) is a beautiful matte blue red suitable for all skin tones.

I love the shade not so much the texture. Its very drying so I applied lip balm ahead of time and used MAC lip erase as the base. The color pay off is excellent and lasts a long time.

Tips: Applying red lipstick can get messy, try filling the lips from the middle and working your way to the edges.

MAC Light Affair Creamy Nail Lacquer

MAC Light Affair (Retails for $12.00) is a limited edition nail lacquer from their recent Love Lace collection. The shade is described as a creamy grey taupe, in person its a very pale grey with a hint of purple.

I had some trouble getting a even application, though it might be because I didn't shake well before use. The one I tried at the MAC store was very nice and I do like the shade.

Revlon ColorBurst Lipstick Review

Since CVS was doing a buy one get one free deal on Revlon items last week I picked up the new Revlon ColorBurst liptsick (Regular retail price: $8.99) to try along with the ColorStay Mineral Lipglaze...

I got #70 Soft Nude

Simple but cute packaging, you can't see what the shade is like from the outside so you will have to rely on the shade indicator on the cap

#70 Soft nude is a very pale shade, a nude perfect for fair skin beauties. The lipstick is lightweight with excellent pigmentation, but, you can see from the picture above that it does sink into every crack accentuating chapped lips. I still think its a good drugstore find, just don't forget to use lip balm ahead of time!

Hello Lover: Revlon Colorstay Mineral Lipglaze

Allow me to introduce to you my new found love...

New shades were added to the Revlon ColorStay Mineral Lipglaze collection and they were oh so tempting so I grabbed one try! ($8.99 at CVS)

I bought #512 Timeless Nude

Wand tip applicator

To my delight its a creamy yet non sticky formula with excellent pigmentation and just a tad of shimmer.

When applied it feels great! smooth, lightweight, and moisturizing. I'm super impressed and in LOVE!! I'm making a trip back to the drugstore to pick up some more!

Recent Drugstore Beauty Finds

I ventured into CVS for some snacks and found myself over at the makeup and beauty aisle. That was expected to happen right?

New Maybelline Eyestudio palettes! These look just like if not exactly the same as the Maybelline palettes sold in asia. There are 12 new palettes in total priced at $9.99 each.

Don't they look tempting?

Here's one up close, the sparkly black eyeshadow caught my attention.

Two different purple palettes, both lookin' good! I mean who doesn't like purple?

These are fun shades! The palette on top is very wintry while the other is summery.

Maybelline New Eyestudio Color Pearls, can't decide on how I feel about these.

New Revlon ColorBurst lipsticks at $8.99 each, most of the shades I wanted to try were gone.

Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear mini nail lacquer set for $4.99, how cute!

I did do a mini haul and will do a post on it later :)
