Guerlain Parure Extreme Fluid Foundation Review

After searching for god knows how long for the perfect foundation I think I've finally found it! I present you the Guerlain Parure Extreme fluid foundation...

The Details: $55 for 30ml/1Fl Oz, SPF25, Waterproof, comes in 10 shades

This foundation was a pleasant surprise! Its a light to medium coverage foundation (buildable) that leaves an amazingly natural and glowy finish. It evens out my skin tone and matches my skin color really well. The texture is light and runny, you won't feel like you're wearing cake on your face. Its not drying, stands up to heat well, somewhat moisturizing, and haven't clogged my skin. I wear it with my Guerlain meteorites base

I have it in the lightest shade #02
Runny texture, I find that it applies best with the beauty blender sponge

Here I am with no makeup (ghastly I know)

With the foundation, I love the glowy finish

momo is a fan and highly recommends this foundation

VOV Wash Off Pack Review & LOTD

I've been testing out various VOV facial masks for a while now and think its time for a review on their Daily Fresh Masks. Note that these are the wash off masks not the sheet masks.

I've tried Berries, Lemon, Seaweed, Volcanic Ash, and 17 Cereal

The Berries, Lemon, and Seaweed masks are gel type masks

Volcanic Ash and 17 Cereal are creamier / thicker clay like masks

The gel type masks doesn't do much for my skin but the creamier Volcanic Ash and 17 Cereal masks leaves my skin feeling smooth and glowy. Each packet comes with 10ml worth of product and you can get about 3 uses out of it. To use the mask you just apply it to your face, leave it on for 10-15 minutes and then rinse off. Its nice and simple

my favorite one is the Volcanic Ash! I highly recommend it if you can get your hands on it. If Volcanic Ash is not available, 17 cereals is a good backup. Where to buy? see my post here

My look of the day~

What's on my face?

- Guerlain Meteorites primer
- Guerlain Parure Extreme foundation
- Guerlain Rose palette
- P&J eyegloss #5
- Jill Stuart Blusher #06 Fresh Apricot
- MAC cremesheen lipstick in Speed Dial mixed with MAC lip erase (not pictured)

the Guerlain foundation review is coming soon! I've been using it everyday and love the finish

Ordering Geo Circle Lenses?

When I first ordered Geo circle lenses it was through a batch order site and even though it was cheap it took forever to ship (sometimes up to two months). Adrian of Asian Fashion City sent me some circle lenses recently, his site carries these lens on hand so you don't have to endure the long wait

I got Geo Nudy in Grey and Honey Wing in Brown, Adrian was nice enough to include some pink cases

Geo lenses always come in these glass containers and the authentic ones should have the geo seal/sticker on the bottle (I saw fake one sold on the streets of Bangkok, they do exist).

I tend to like the brown lenses, enlarges your eye and looks fairly natural. I've tried the green ones a while back and while it appeared nifty in photos it was kind of scary in person.

These Geo lenses are suppose to last a year but I toss them after 1-2 months of usage, they get very dry after a while.

Asian Fashion City also carries other asian beauty products if you are interested. Thank You Adrian!

For those of you that asked about the seller on Gmarket from this post, here it is: 뷰티씨티

Gmarket Order!

Gmarket, a big mystery to me until now...

My first Gmarket order arrived not too long ago, shipping was rather fast since they ship via EMS.

What did I get?

VOV wash off mask packs! I love these!

I ordered from two different buyers to try out a few things since it was rather confusing. One seller had three different options on the drop down, turns out he sends 9 packets with three different variety

the other seller only had one option and sold by the box

the seller that sold by the box was cheaper at 6000 won per box (around $5), each box carries 10 packets. The mixed packet seller sold 9 packets for 7200Won (around $6). Shipping was $17

I got the 17 cereal, volcanic ash, and seaweed masks. I'll be doing a full review on these masks soon

My personal favorite is the volcanic ash

I had quite a bit of trouble ordering from Gmarket but after a few tries it finally went through. Turns out you can only order from the site by using internet explorer (I use a mac). I'm a happy camper now :) I heard that Ebay acquired Gmarket, maybe the site will improve in the future, perhaps the ability to order goods using other web browser.

new stuff on me jewelry blog!

A Few Days In Taipei

New look for the blog, its about time that I put up a summer theme. Finally sorted through my taipei pics to do this post. I flew China Airlines from HK to Taipei. I won't get into the details but NEVER will I EVER take that airline EVER again, not if my life depended on it.

I don't get why these tiny little streets are always two ways in asia...

street vendors

Taipei has tons of DAISOs! They're big and really nice inside

helmets are sold everywhere, tons of variety

inside mister donut

These doughnuts are cute, but they're no krispy kreme

Tried Mosburger, the burger was SO NOT my thing but the fishburger was OK

SOGO

The guys making your soup dumplings

Din Tai Fung, the famous soup dumpling place from Taipei with chains across asia. Definitely wasn't as good as the place in Shanghai. Believe me, I take soup dumplings very seriously

My very first Jill Stuart purchase!

Blusher in Apricot, I swatched all of them before settling on this one. Yumeko recommended it to me and she's the queen of Jill Stuart. All Japanese prods in Taipei are cheaper. This blusher was $39USD. ($1 to 34NT conversion at the time)

Taipei 101

New York New York :) there's a giant daiso in there too

had lunch at the food court...

food was just ok

everything is fried

mmmmmhhhh haagen daz! its a panda! how cute!

the pillow is so darn cute too

I was really amused by their subway token. You scan it as you go in and drop it into the machine when you're leaving. I later found out that its the same in Bangkok

TONS of bikes everywhere

Tokyu Hands is called Hands Tailung for some reason

night market

not that crowded that night

Lady getting massaged by chopping knives... WTF?

lots of street food

The first batch of my My Beauty Diary Masks haul. I had to toss out all the boxes or else it won't fit in my suitcase

majo majo blush I like this one, kate and majo majo palettes

More Watsons face sponge that I love!! They're not sold at the HK Watsons? But they're in Shanghai and Taipei. Got another Orbis UV spray.

Remember the hair flowers I bought in Japan? Here's what one of them looks like

Ximending at night, its the harajuku of Taipei

those ginormous ice cream

Etude House

A MoMo beauty store! :D

How come I didn't buy any Kevin BeautyMaker products? Its not sold at stores in Taipei, online only.

Off to Bangkok I went. I have a ton of pics from Bangkok to sort through!
