Skincare Updates

Its almost FRIDAY! I live for the weekends :)

Ever since I parted with the Laneige strawberry peeling gel I've been using my Beauty Credit Amethyst Peeling Serum...

I mentioned this briefly in my previous skin regiment post. This was $11 for 100ml at the Beauty Credit store

The packaging is nice! comes in a pretty purple container with a push pump

Its very similar to the laneige peel, sandy in texture

Rub it against your skin and the gel drys and peels/exfoliates

Its fairly gentle and leaves my skin feeling smooth.

Overall I like this product. It works well for the price, packaging is great and has a nice lavender scent. I find it exfoliates better than the laneige strawberry peel. If you can find a beauty credit by you, give it a shot

I used up my LUSH tea tree toner and started using the Boscia balancing facial toner. Its $18 for 120ml at Sephora.

This toner is free of parabens, sulfates, synthetic fragrances, synthetic dyes, petro-chemicals, and Phthalates. Nice and light lavender scent and feels very refreshing. I'm liking it so far, definitely better than the LUSH tea tree toner that I was using.

Lately I've been using the Laneige Water Sleeping Pack Plus & Laneige Star White Treatment Mask...
I had a few samples of the sleeping pack and thought it was pretty nice so went back and picked up the full size version. Its $23 for 80ml at the Laneige store. You use it after your regular skin routine then put this on right before going to bed, it stays on overnight to moisturize and hydrate your face. Wash it off in the morning and your skin is happy. Use about 2-3x a week

I'm still in the process of trying out the laneige sheet masks so the review will come later.

Guess what came in the mail?

My P&J membership card! it came with a cute P&J makeup bag and samples! woohoo. I'm not 100% certain on how the membership card works. You get stamps for P&J purchases at the counter in Bergdorf's and when you collect a certain amount you get a gift I think.

I'm so tempted to call in sick tomorrow lol :P

Sleep!

I'm in desperate need of some sleep. I passed out while blogging last night and this was caught on camera...

excuse the poor picture quality, cellphone pic

if you look closely on this one you'll notice Charlotte on the floor passed out on her side lol. Oh that's her crate with a pile of gmat books stacked on top of it

I'm cat sitting the next few days :) my old roommate dropped of his cat at my place today...

Charlotte's gonna be so entertained

This is Shanti... its actually a boy

He's cute!

The Cheeto Cam caught her sleeping on her back...

I still get a good chuckle when I catch her sleeping like this

She's totally passed out! She's a lot like me I guess

Playing Catchup Part Deux

Its only Tuesday and I think I've had enough of this week. Work has been awful! I've been sneaking into the bathroom during the day to put on makeup, its relaxing.

Over the weekend I tried out the new Paul & Joe Fluid foundation and the Guerlain Midnight Butterfly Palette....

The new foundation has a pointy opening...

its not in a squeeze bottle but it looks like it

I have it in shade 00 the lightest shade, 01 is a tad pink. 00 is a new shade, its lighter than the old 01 which was the lightest.

Extremely runny texture and very light weight

Comparison to the old formula...

The new formula feels very nice and leaves a nice finish. Coverage is very light. At first I tried using it with a sponge and most of the product was absorbed by it, so sponge not recommended. Its a good foundation for the upcoming hotter months (SPF 25) but probably not your thing if you're looking for good coverage.

used the Guerlain Midnight Butterfly palette for this light look

Lip shade is MAC lavender whip with Dior Pink Clutch gloss

I've been using the Heroine Kiss Me mascara more than my majo majo one. Its more voluminous.

It keeps the curl too. It is sold at Mitsuwa and other japanese marts.

Basha Shaindy headband...

Me Likey

Random swatch for one of my readers, she wanted to see the NYX lipsticks that I got from Sarah...

Tea Rose on top, Strawberry Milk on the bottom

Don't you just HATE it when your nail cracks at the side?!

in an attempt to save it I got this...

you just dab on the glue, powder on top, glue again, file down....

My nail is saved! Its not too shabby ;)

painted it with OPI "Sheer Your Toys"

I was asked what kind of cotton pads I use...

Selena Fresh is the one I use for makeup removal. The pads are less flimsy than the CS being one...

I use the CS being one for nail polish removal, its cheaper than the Selena one. Both can be found at Mitsuwa / Japanese marts.
