Mascara Comparison: Majolica Majorca VS Blinc Kiss Me

Majo Majo Gorgeous Wing VS. Blinc Kiss Me Mascara

We'll start off with the comparison picture below

click to enlarge and you'll see a noticeable difference. I didn't use my mascara base for this just to see how my lashes would turn out. The majolica mascara lifts, retains the curl, and extends your lashes. The Blinc Kiss Me mascara does not lift at all, when applied with no mascara base it extends my lashes but weighs it down at the same time.

Lashes were curled ahead of time but the mascara weighed it down

You can clearly see that the Majolica Majorca mascara holds the curl

These two mascaras have similar consistency coming out of the tube but the majo majo one does not require a mascara base for it to perform compared to the blinc kiss me mascara.

The Weekend Edition 3/29

For those of you that asked about the green mask from my previous post, it is LUSH's mask of magnaminty

At first I wasn't going to but I've been getting some encouragement to start a jewelry blog ;) thanks to everyone for the LOVE. I present you...

The crown earrings are up for grabs, go check out the site :)

Guess what came in Friday? My prize from Jnie's ( My Beauty Imprint ) Giveaway contest.

Look how pretty the packaging is!

The prize is the MUFE HD primer :D she being the sweetie that she is also included Benefit's Dr.FeelGood.

The foundation trial...

this is #117

Fresh out of the bottle...

#117 is a good match for me, MUFE has a extensioni shade selection

Prior to makeup application with just the MUFE HD primer on

visible uneven skin tone and dark under eye area

Now with the foundation on...

It's not a heavy feeling foundation, applies evenly and the coverage is decent. Evens out skin tone but doesn't fully cover the under eye area. It leaves a nice finish, not too glowy but not too matte either.

After 6 hours...

It stayed put and didn't oxidize. keep in mind that a primer and setting powder was used.

Overall its a good foundtion, especially for photography since it doesn't contain any SPF. The push pump is handy and keeps it sanitary. There are many shades to choose from so you're likely to find one very close to your skin color. Overall a good foundation

Now some random weekend purchases

Benefit Creaseless Cream Eyeshadow/Liner

I've been asked a few times about the Benefit Creaseless cream and how it compares to MAC paintpots...

on the left we have MAC Painpots and on the right we have Benefit Creaseless Cream Eyeshadow/ liner, which cream reigns supreme?

Basics
MAC $16.50 for 5g (13 colors available on the MAC site)
Benefit $19.00 for 4.5g (18 shades available on the Benefit Site)

I love the Benefit Creaseless cream, its feels luxuriously soft and spreads like smooth butter. I find it easier to apply than MAC paintpots and they really stay put. That being said, MAC paintpots are cheaper and you get more product for the price.

Some of the Benefit shades I have...

TOP L to R: Birthday Suit, Strut, Skinny Jeans
BOTTOM L to R: Bunny Hop, Sippin' n' Dippin', Flyin' Down To

An honorary mention...

If you like cream shadows you'll LOVE Shiseido Hydro Powder Eyeshadow. It feels super light weight and glides on oh so smooooth. Leaves a gorgeous finish too. They're on the pricier side at $24 for .21oz

Paul & Joe Liquid eyeshadow swatches as requested...
L to R: #1, #3, #4, #5
I don't have #2
My favorite out of these is #5

Skinfood Aloe BB cream + Look

The much requested SkinFood Aloe BB Cream review

The SkinFood Aloe BB cream comes in two shades, this one is #1 the lighter of the two. You can purchase this on sasa.com or yesstyle.com Size: 50g
SPF20

Its a light weight BB cream that goes on very smooth and is easy to apply/spread. This is better than the Mushbroom version as it doesn't oxidize as fast. The Aloe BB cream is for oily or combo skin. You'll see from the picture above that the coverage is just average, you can still see some discoloration. The bb cream has a light scent that I find pleasant.

I dabbed on some concealer under the eye and finished off with the P&J Compact #04 in Mauve

Isn't it pretty? I actually really like this compact, I got the mauve one since its suppose to rid sallowness/redness. It finishes off clear and isn't cakey at all

The finished look, I tried the Laura Mercier shimmer bloc and Paul & Joe pigment

What's on my face
- MUFE HD Primer in Mauve
- Skinfood Aloe BB cream
- Dior Sculpt Concealer
- MAC Lip hydrate
- Laura Mercier Gilded Garden Shimmer Bloc
- MAC Lip erase ( to dim my pigmented lips)
- Paul & Joe eye pearl powder #03
- Paul & Joe lipstick #26
- Corner falsies

The eye pearl powder/pigment is really nice, and I love the lipstick!

its such a pretty pink and actually pigmented for a P&J lipstick. I used MAC lip erase to neutralize my lips before using the lipstick
