MAC Volcanic Ash Thermal Mask ($20 for 100ml) is a limited edition mask that came out with the MAC Style Black collection. I recently found it sitting on my bathroom shelf still untouched and immediately put it to good use. I used it for about twice a week for a month.
Booyah Mask Face! The mask comes out of the tube oily, grainy, and muddy. I mixed it with some water then applied to my face, it heats up upon touching my skin but the sensation wears off quickly. I leave it on for about 10 minutes then remove it in a circular motion to get the grainy stuff work its exfoliation thang. The mask gets extremely messy during the removal process so its best to rinse off in the shower. My skin didn't feel too different afterwards but the warming sensation experience was nice. Its a fun mask to have but not a necessity.

ya, i agreed. i gave up mine after 2 uses... as the heat wear off simply too fast.
ReplyDeleteIt's definitely worth trying skin care products for a month or so before you post a proper review. We're anxious to see immediate results which just does not happen with over-the-counter products. Maybe with cosmetic surgery, but really, you should have used this mask a few more times before you give your readers your verdict.

ReplyDelete@Anonymous I used it twice a week for 4 weeks which is pretty much a month. It didn't show any skin altering effects but was nice to have on.
ReplyDeleteI only tried it once and wasn't head over heels with it either. I actually broke out a little from it, I dunno, maybe it was the heat mixed with the oily formula? Anyway thanks for your honest review :D
ReplyDeleteI'm in the same boat - I wasn't floored by the results, and a little disappointed that it only warmed up for a couple of seconds. I only use the mask (and exfoliator) while I'm showering because they both get so messy

ReplyDeleteI agree. The heat wears off too quickly, still a fun mask to use, but now I'd prefer Lush Dark Angels instead hahaha but it's still fun.
