Kyoto Day 2 Part II: Kiyomizu Dera, Gion

I landed in Bangkok today and can't make up my mind about siem reap! anyhoots, way behind on posts so here goes...

Part II of my day 2 in Kyoto! It was almost 6PM by the time I got to Kyoto station. I rushed to a bus stop to go to Kiyomizu Dera (temple). When you get there you go up a little street that's packed with small shops for souvenirs and handmade goods...

I made it to the temple right before closing, phew

This one was closed off so I couldn't go up close

I love pagodas

some temple info for you

by now you guys know that I'm obsessed with these purifying stations

these lanterns are so pretty

There are two of these, the view of the smaller one from the bigger one

believe this is kannon

the big one

impressive wooden frame beneath that's holding up big temple above

I drank from here

Stone pagoda

I really liked all the little shops in the area

HOW CUTE!!! I want!

These were really cute too

I walked over the Gion area

Love these streets

paper lanterns everywhere

sweet snacks (most of which I didn't know were sweet till I tried)

I got these to try thinking they were fried fishcake/fishballs. So not the case. They're all mochi type prods

For dinner, super delicious okonomiyaki

I heart this stuff...

dudes making the super OISHI okonomiyaki

everything in Japan is better lol, check out their baskin robbins menu, everything on it looks nicer!

I went into yet another drugstore and snapped a pic of Canmake, one of my fav drugstore brand

this was at the front of the drugstore... uhhh boin boin boobs? only 198Yen! What a steal!

shaky pic but they had these cute outfits with matching mini suitcases!

no idea what this place served, definitely not pizza

for final fantasy fans, limited edition cans

random little things that I picked up

kiyomizu dera vid

Next up? My date with Kay in Kyoto!

  16. The Neko_chan(cat) on the purse is so kawaii. Woah Kirei_deshou the sceneries and the temple reminds me of The Last Samurai movie. wherein the young Emperor Meiji walks the hallway of that temple ground XDD or pagoda XDD. Some of the historical highlight that you posted reminds me also of Memoirs of Geisha maybe they really did took the shooting of the movie in one of those places. Kyaa Nipon Sugoi. XDDDD >____< Oneesan_Mel (right?) Please post more of Japan Onegai(please. I totally thank you for posting such sceneries ^___^ me likey. ^___^
